It teaches individuals the skills necessary to recognize life-threatening respiratory or cardiac emergencies and manage illnesses and injuries for the first few minutes until professional help arrives. It covers the steps of first aid such as finding the problem, stopping bleeding, bandaging and using an Epinephrine pen, as well as adult, infant, child CPR and AED.
